Hometown (ish) Love

District 6080 covers my hometown of Chilhowee. The Clinton Daily Democrat picked up the story from the local Rotary club and did their research! Not only did they find my picture online, but added a personal touch.

Evenings Exist

After learning I was chosen for the GSE, I withdrew my name for teaching this spring.

Beginning in January, I will start my first semester in almost five years that I have neither been a student nor a teacher. You know what that means?

Free evenings for the first time in FIVE years.

I don't know what I will do with myself. I will have so much time. My house will be so clean. I'll have time to work out. I'll have time to see my friends! And most importantly, I can sleep!
...

That was my mentality for exactly 8 days.

You're Going Where? With Who?

By far and away the most common questions I receive when I say that I have been chosen to be part of the Rotary Group Study Exchange (GSE) in Central America. So what better way to get started on this journey than a good old fashioned FAQ section. If you have more, please feel free to add them in the comment section and I'll get back to you.

Better Late Than Never

Uh oh. Kim's started to blog.

Don't worry. This isn't going to be some fancy pants blog with awesome recipes, beautiful home decor, or crazy introspection. This will be more of a place to document my next adventure, the Rotary Group Study Exchange in Central America.

A journal of sorts.

I also hope to answer some questions you may have without becoming increasingly annoying on Facebook. This way, if you want to see more about the GSE, you can read about this journey here versus me creating extremely long Facebook statuses that overwhelm friends' news feeds and result in defriending.

So, my two hopes are that you will check in occasionally to see more about my preparation for my adventure and that when my adventure actually begins, I will have time to keep this up.

Without further ado,

¡Beinviendos!
